Mercedes-AMG rounded out its C-Class lineup in New York on Tuesday with the C63 and C63 S sedans, coupes and cabriolets. The purpose-built machines will use the company’s ubiquitous 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 469 hp or 503 hp (in the S), along with a nine-speed multiclutch transmission. The new C63 gets an AMG-specific grille styling, lower side skirts and new wheels. In the back, we see two redesigned tailpipes, a body-color spoiler lip and a new rear bumper. Cars with the optional aero package get an even more aggressive front splitter, spoiler with Gurney flap, a bigger rear diffuser and more gloss black accents. Like the rest of the new C-Class lineup, the AMG version gets S-Class-like upgrades including wood, carbon fiber, aluminum and something called silver fiberglass. The AMG C's also offer optional performance seats with heat and cooling. Cabriolets get Mercedes’ Airscarf system that keeps your neck warm with the top down.
